...we like to clump as many life changes together as possible. And really, what's more fun than trying to keep a house clean with a toddler and an expanding middle region? We have decided to try and sell our house. For a number of reasons, some I'll talk about on here eventually. I don't know how long I (ahem, sorry, I mean the house) will last on the market. Today I walked out the door while simultaneously trying to Glass Wipe the fingerprints off it.
This is our third house, but the first one I loved. The house where we brought Charlie home from the hospital. The house where we met neighbors who became lifelong friends. The place where we said goodbye to Charmer.
This was my first project house - the first house I made "mine." There was the kitchen remodel. And the landscaping. Oh, and the painting. The bathrooms (I can not believe I actually showered in that "before" shower. Without shower shoes). The basement (who doesn't love knotty pine?) And then there was the little stuff (mostly done by Ken). The new window locks. The new outlets. The new window well covers. It really doesn't seem like there was anything we didn't do. Which is why it feels weird that someday (eventually, even if we don't sell until 2025, which is a possibility) someone else will be living in our house.
So if any of you are interested, let me know. I'll even throw in my scrapbooking desk! Now THAT'S a deal!

Wishing you the best of luck and a good, quick sell! It has been a long road for us in this market but I know when we do finally move I will miss all the memories we've made.
p.s. love the built-ins in your living room! So jealous!

This is a beautiful home. Good luck selling it it's so gorgeous I'm sure you won't have any problems. And we have the same bedroom furniture! It was the first "real set" and "real furniture" my husband and I ever bought!!!!

I love your house! Simple, crisp and clean!

Your house is gorgeous! We just start making our houses (on our second right now) ours and then decide "oh maybe we will only be here for one more year" and then we stop making it ours.
I totally sympathize with the "keeping a house clean with toddler and expanding middle region", soon enough your toddler will have to pick up everything! I've seen a handle with a grip on the end that allows you to pick things up without bending - thought it was silly but now I'd forgo my Easter chocolate just for one of those!
