...i see spreadsheets
...and lighting fixtures
...and faucets
I have come to the conclusion that there are far too ugly many lighting fixtures, ugly faucets, and ugly ceiling fans in the world and that, for the love of God, someone needs to trim down the selection.
My computer tonight:
...and our house, on Saturday. I am in love with the siding and might decide that we need to side the inside of the house too. We ended up going with Silver Plate from Certainteed after not finding a HardiePlank color that we loved. We really wanted a sharp, crisp gray and that's exactly what we got. We opted for a larger trim and I'm in love with that too. I got teary-eyed when we drove up the driveway. I'm a dork and I'm still hormonal so leave me alone.
The Little House is getting closer and closer to becoming our house.

I completely agree... and I'd like to add that there are SO many stunning light fixtures that are ridiculously expensive. Ugh. :)
Your house is looking great. I'm SO happy for you. I can't wait to see it all come together. Happy times, friend. Happy times.

I just have to share my favorite ceiling fan. It doesn´t look like any other fan I´ve seen, and it has dimmable light inside it.

Good luck!

I've been where you are, and I'm a detail person, so the lighting had to be perfect, etc.
Try Minka Aire for fans. I have three different models from them, thrilled with all of them.
And, once you find a fixture that you like, make sure to shop around for price. I found two of my fans for more than 50% off retail on eBay and/or Amazon. As long as they're brand new, all is well, and manufacturer's warranty will still apply.

maybe you could just put siding on the inside of your bigger than my master bedroom pantry? Then you could go stand in there and sigh happily whenever you wanted and use the excuse that you're just preparing dinner

Oh Yum - just love the way your cute house is coming along! I waited since 1983 to find our DR light fixture! We put up an U G L Y fake brass thing which was vvv cheap at the time!
Your friends have come up with some snazzy fans, wish I'd known about them! Keep the pics coming!

There are affordable yet good-looking fixtures that you can find online. There are bronze-looking ceiling fans that look beautiful, but I don't know if they would match the interior of your home. There also those colored white with small swirling blades. They look cute. Your house looks cozy and the color blends well with the trees. :-)

You did a good job picking gray for your sides. Hehe. Your house is looking good. Oh, yeah, lighting fixtures are a vital part in our house, and they add to that certain feel a room has. If you pick the proper lighting fixture, you can even enhance the mood and atmosphere inside a room.
