...charlie's wall

...the reoccuring theme throughout the Little House is gallery walls. There's something about a cluster of all of my favorite things in one spot that is just appealing to me. So I've run with it. Everywhere. Including Charlie's room.

A lot of these are things he had in his room on Broadmoor. The boy with the "choo choo" and the bus were Christmas presents from my mom, but everything else he already had.

I've thought a few times about what I'll do with these prints (and the prints on Clara's walls - pictures coming soon) when they decide they want a "big kid" room, or want to plaster their walls with posters of Lebron James (hell no, not in our house, the traitor). I think I will take them and make a wall somewhere else in the house with all of them, and when I look at them I will think of the nights, like tonight, when I laid there and watched Charlie fall asleep.

I have some of those prints in my sons room, who is a bit older than Charlie (4.5). He's moving on to bigger kids stuff now, which just means spiderman and the avengers are mixed with boy hugging fox :)

I love this wall! And I have to say that som of the pictures I took down from my walls when I became to "grown up" are back up now! And, if Charlie and Clara get their own little darlings at one point, these pictures will be a wonderful gift for their babies rooms... Wonderful things are meant to be passed down through the generations!
