…It started with a phone call

It was a Saturday morning last summer.  And it sounds so cheesy to say that it changed my life.  But something that introduces you to friends you know you’ll have for a lifetime, it is life-changing.

The caller ID said “British Columbia.”  I only knew of one person in Canada.  One person I’d never met before, one person I had no idea even knew I existed.

But this one person had seen something in me, something in my scrapbooking…Something that caught her eye.

Her name was Kah-Mei.  And I couldn’t be more proud of her, her wonderful company, and her friendship.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Fontwerks!

Oh wait, this is a post about our new (old) house.

Ahh, yes, Ken looks forward into our bright future...

Or he looks questionably at the painted shut window and wonders who the heck would paint a window shut.

This house needs love.  Enter us.  I'm heading to the library on Friday to get our original house plans from the 1940s (in the special collections section at the University of Baltimore). 

Ken spent the weekend chopping down trees and replacing electric schtuff.  I spent the weekend deciding what I don't want to do and will instead pay someone to do.  Honesty, folks.
