Looks like under eye bags are making their debut as Spring 2010's hottest accessory.
I am not kidding you, right after this picture, a female runner ran past us and Charlie totally whipped his head around to check her out. Stud muffin.
...I don't think I've ever told the story of our next door neighbors in Oklahoma. We lived in a very cookie-cutter neighborhood, where each house was the same with minor variations. Except for our next door neighbor. One Halloween, we counted 40-some pumpkins in her front yard. Which she kept out until, oh, January, I believe for religious reasons. She had a special fondness for gnomes. And fairies. And hummingbirds. And pretty much any other lawn decoration that needed a home. Oh, and also small rodents. We knew she lived in the house with her elderly parents, who we never saw (except one time I swear I saw one of her father's eyes watching me out of the front window).
Ever since, we've had a fondness for gnomes. And now we have our very own:
1. I am planning a first birthday party and trying to figure out how to not go completely overboard. I'm sure some day Charlie will appreciate that we are renting lions for his first birthday, no?
2. I was disappointed with Parenthood.
3. Our spring is really busy. Would anyone mind if I took off from blogging until, say, July?
4. Whatever is happening on Lost is so beyond me. Yet I continue to watch. It doesn't help that during any given episode I'm attempting to catch up on the internet, read, and/or clean.
5. The auction was a big success. I didn't get to sleep until 1 a.m. Charlie got up three hours later.
6. Is it weird when you buy something at an auction, you still feel like you won it?
7. Does anyone else really want to see Hot Tub Time Machine?
8. It was like 44 degrees today and I started thinking about how I couldn't wait to plant my planters and my tomatoes.
9. I had no idea how many catalogues came with babies.
