...I am learning that a good priest makes all the difference. And this was a good priest. Except he used a ton of oil and Clara's head still smells like the Catholic church.
Clara's dress was made by her great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother on the Kurz side and was worn by all of Ken's siblings and has been worn by all of their children. It's almost as beautiful as her.
...And with that, I offer my mother's prayer layout (I don't think the priest would approve of some of this language):

beautiful! i also have a christening gown that was made by my grandmother for me. I wore it as did my younger sister, my daughter and my sister's two girls. unfortunately my son did not wear it. really wish he had. the plan is for my grandson to wear it...he is due in Feb! i love this tradition!
